Strawberry season

Celebrate the strawberry season in the Chocolats Favoris style with this delicious chocolate-strawberry tart!

Ingredients for the crust:

Ingredients for the mix:

  • 1 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 5 tbsp. sugar
  • 5 tbsp. cornstarch
  • ½ cup Chocolats Favoris Original Milk fondue

Steps for the crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix all the crust ingredients and spread in an aluminum pie plate.
  2. Let cool.
  3. Cover the crust with as much Original Milk chocolate fondue as you like.

Steps for the pastry cream:

  1. In a pot, mix the milk with half the sugar and bring to a medium temperature while mixing it for 3 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, add the 2 egg yolks with the rest of the sugar. Beat well with a whisk and add the cornstarch in three steps.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Pour a part of the milk mixture in the egg and cornstarch mixture. Mix well.
  5. Pour it into the warm milk.
  6. Boil it and mix it for one minute, remove from heat.
  7. Add the Original Milk chocolate fondue.
  8. Cover with a plastic wrap.
  9. Refrigerate for two hours.

Setup:

  1. Pour the pastry cream directly onto the bottom of the pie crust (directly or using a piping bag).
  2. Slice strawberries and place them on the pie.
  3. Drizzle the Original Milk chocolate fondue for a decadent touch.
