On the field in Ghana: seeing the impact, making a difference
In April 2024, our team travelled to Ghana, the world's 2nd largest cocoa producer, to see the impact of the Cocoa Horizons program on the field. This trip reinforced more than ever our conviction that
every gesture counts and that our investments really do make a difference. We forged invaluable links with local communities and saw first-hand the concrete impacts on cocoa plantations. Coming back with this perspective motivates us even more to continue making a difference, one chocolate at a time.

To tackle challenges and make real progress, the Cocoa Horizons Foundation focuses on three areas: productivity, community, and environment.
Community
Towards a Better Quality of Life
The program focuses on protecting children by promoting access to education and ensuring respect for human rights, while also empowering women through savings and credit associations. Education remains at the heart of efforts to guarantee adequate learning environments in cocoa-growing regions.

Productivity
Prosperous Farmers
Sustainable cocoa requires improved agricultural practices to ensure household incomes and future viability, especially for women. The Foundation focuses on training and support to increase productivity and promote sustainable practices. With over 1,000 coaches in the field, it aims to strengthen farmers' capacities, support the adoption of good practices, and regularly assess progress.
