Apple and Milk Chocolate Blondies
Apples + chocolate = pure comfort!
Makes 12 blondies
- 1 cup (250 ml) packed brown sugar
- ½ cup (125 ml) butter, melted and cooled
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups (310 ml) all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp (2 ml) baking powder
- ¼ tsp (1 ml) baking soda
- 1 crunchy apple, cored, peeled, and diced (such as Granny Smith, Cortland, or Gala)
- ½ cup (125 ml) Chocolats Favoris Original Milk chocolate drops
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8-in (20-cm) square baking pan, then line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract for 1 minute, until the mixture is fully incorporated and pale in color.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add to the wet ingredient and mix until just a few streaks of flour remain. Add the diced apple and Chocolats Favoris Milk Chocolate Drops and incorporate into the batter.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread it to the edges of the pan in an even layer. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is set and firm to the touch and the edges are golden brown. Transfer the pan to a wire rack and let cool completely. Slice and serve!
