Bacon Chocolate Waffles
The perfect combination of sweet and salty: Enjoy our bacon and chocolate waffles, where the crispness of bacon meets the sweetness of chocolate for an unprecedented taste experience.
- 1 Hazelnut Praline Fondue can (425 g)
- 6 precooked bacon slices
For the waffles:
- 500 ml (2 cups) all-purpose flour
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) cornstarch
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) baking powder
- 6 precooked bacon slices, coarsely chopped
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) canola oil
- 500 ml (2 cups) milk
- 1/2 bag of Original Milk Chocolate Drops (250 g)
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to preheat the waffle maker.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour with the cornstarch, sugar, baking powder and chopped bacon.
- In another bowl, beat the sugar with the eggs for 4–5 minutes using an electric mixer. Gradually whisk in oil and milk.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, whisking until well combined. Add the chocolate drops and stir again.
- Follow the instructions on the package to heat the Hazelnut Praline Fondue.
- Meanwhile, grease the waffle plates with cooking spray or oil. Pour about 180 ml (3/4 cup) of mixture into the waffle maker. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the waffle is golden and crisp. Set aside on a plate. Repeat with the rest of the mixture to make six waffles.
- Place the bacon slices on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave for a few seconds. Cut the bacon slices into pieces.
- Cover the waffles with fondue. Top with bacon.
