Makes 1 serving

  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) milk
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) sifted cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) Chocolats Favoris Original Dark Chocolate Drops (see note)
  1. In a large mug, whisk together the milk, oil, egg, and vanilla. Add the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt and whisk, using a fork, until the mixture is smooth. Mix in 2 tbsp (30 ml) of the Chocolats Favoris Original Dark Chocolate Drops.
  2. Cook in the microwave at the maximum power level from 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes, or until the cake is puffed up and cooked through. Garnish with the remaining Chocolats Favoris Original Dark Chocolate Drops, let rest for 2 minutes, then enjoy.

Notes:

The mixture will puff up considerably while cooking. Make sure the cake mixture only fills up two-thirds of the mug before cooking to avoid spilling.

If you don’t have Original Dark Chocolate Drops on hand, you can substitute any other Chocolats Favoris Chocolate Drops in this recipe: Original Milk, Dulce de Leche, or Dreamy White.
